The Parish Council currently has three halls in Woodhouse Eaves: the Village Hall, and the King George V Room and the new Youth Community Hall. All are served by a public car park for around 35 vehicles - and street parking outside is also available. The location address is 50A Main Street, Woodhouse Eaves, Loughborough LE12 8RZ. In late 2023 there will be a third new hall available for hire.
You can take a virtual tour (See above). This gives more information about the halls and their facilities. All halls have well equipped kitchen, fridge, domestic cooker, kettles, cutlery, mugs, plates and glasses. The Village Hall and the KGV have sound systems and overhead projector and screen. Free WiFi is available for you to connect a Blue tooth device etc.
The buildings are adjacent to a children's play area, two tennis courts, a teenage games court, and a large playing field with cricket and football pitches.
Anyone wishing to sell alcohol at an event must complete a licence application to cover our premises. Two copies must be sent to the Borough Council, one copy to the Police, and one to the Parish Council office. There is a fee for the license. All halls are let on a self managed basis and we send you instructions for using the hall approximately two weeks before your booking, and once the hire fee has been paid.
All party bookings now carry a compulsory £50 refundable deposit. This is returned as long as you leave the hall as you find it, clean, tidy, rubbish taken away and all tables and chairs returned to their racks.
There is a minimum booking time of 1.5 hours per booking.
You are responsible for the hall and your guests using the hall while you are hiring it, and you should consider having risk assessment in place before your event. If you are hiring a Bouncy Castle, please ensure that you have a copy of the owners Public Liability insurance and that it is up to date. We have no responsibility for the Bouncy Castle, its use and the behaviour of your guests and so it is important that you ensure the equipment is covered by insurance and you have sufficient adults available to supervise any children on the premises.
The maximum height that can be accommodated in either hall is 3 m or 10 feet .

The Village Hall

Capacity: 100 people at 20 tables with the chairs / 120 people theatre style / 200 standing. There are 20 tables, each seating 4 people, and 80 chairs stored in the hall. If you wish to use the hall to its full capacity then you will need to hire the additional tables and chairs, and allow for delivery and removal within your booking period.
Dimensions: 13.7m x 8.2m or 9.7m either side of room divider. Stage is 8.2m x 3.9m

Facilities: The Village Hall has a maple dance floor and a stage, and can be sub divided into two. The hall is equipped with stage lighting, sound system, hearing loop*, large wide-screen remote-controlled projection screen, Blu-ray projector, free WiFi, Kitchen with new dual fuel cooker, fridge, crockery and glasses.
If you wish to use the projector please check compatibility with our equipment in advance.
* Needs input from a microphone - please ask when booking.

Village Hall Hire Charges
The hourly charge for the Village Hall is £15.19 per hour and you must include time within your booking for setting up and clearing up.
The current charge for Exhibitions for Saturday/Sunday, 9am- 6pm is £273.42
If you require Friday evening to set up, this is charged at the normal rate
Minimum booking is 1.5 hours weekdays, and 4 hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
From 1 January 2025 the hourly charge will rise to £15.92

King George V Room

Capacity: 60 people seated at 15 tables with the chairs / 110 people theatre style. If you wish to use the hall to its full capacity then you will need to hire the additional tables and chairs, and allow for delivery and removal within your booking period.
Dimensions: 6.6m wide x 12.8m long [21ft x 42ft]
The hall has a kitchen with cooker and fridge, some crockery and cutlery, accessible toilets. The main entrance is off the car park.
Facilities: Free WiFi, electric screen, projector and speaker. An amplifier and microphone are also available.
If you wish to use the projector please check compatibility with our equipment in advance.
King George V Room hire charges
The hourly charge for the King George V Room is £12.65 per hour and you must include time within your booking for setting up and clearing up.
The current rate for Exhibitions for Saturday/Sunday 9 a.m to 6 p.m is £227.70
If you require Friday evening to set up, this is charged at the normal rate
Minimum booking time is 1.5 hours weekdays, and 4 hours Saturday and Sunday
From 1 January 2025 the hourly charge will rise to £13.25
Youth & Community Hall

The Youth & Community Hall Our newest hall was completed in the summer of 2023, and is a delightful modern airy space suitable for a range of activities. It has a well equipped kitchen opening onto the hall, and doors along one side providing a view of the children's playground and open space.
Capacity: 68 people theatre style / standing. There are 8 tables and 28 chairs for use within the hire charge
If you wish to use the hall to its full capacity then you will need to hire the additional tables and chairs, and allow for delivery and removal within your booking period.
Dimensions: 15 m x 7 m
Facilities: The Youth & Community Hall has a well equipped kitchen with new electric cooker, fridge, crockery, cutlery and glasses. The kitchen is equipped with an electric Induction hob. NOTE:You must either use the pans provided on the hob, or use pans compatible with and Induction Hob. Aluminium utensils are not compatible. Free Wi-Fi is available, although there are no facilities for a sound system at present. A sound speaker may be available by prior arrangement.

Booking terms:
Minimum booking is 1.5 hours weekdays, and 4 hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
If you are booking the hall more than 5 months in advance, your booking will only become fully confirmed once the 5 month advance date is passed.
For example, if you are booking the hall on the 1 December 2024, your booking will not be confirmed until 1 July 2024 You will receive confirmation a email from our booking system at the time of booking, however we reserve the right to amend the booking until this point. We will work hard to accommodate your booking in another hall if possible.
